Julie Fuchs recorded this album with pianist Alphonse Cemin in a recital of melodies and songs dedicated to youth: a few pages by Debussy, love stories written by the young composer to Ms. Vasniers; and sketches by young Mahler on the poetry collection Des Knaben Wunderhorn, the inspiration for his wondrous symphonies.

Poulenc: Complete songs for voice and piano
Intended to oppose the flavors of American musicals to Parisian operetta, Ciboulette is the first lightweight partition by Reynaldo Hahn. It recounts the tribulations of pretty Ciboulette, who is determined to attain a brilliant destiny without sacrificing her feelings. In her pursuit of happiness, she crosses paths with a typical gallery of Parisian characters from the La Belle Époque, from the most modest to the most distinguished.
